We rebuilt Nestlé’s income statement in Power BI

Power BI is excellent for dashboards, but the standard matrix still cannot produce a financial report you would be happy to present to a board of directors.
In this webinar, we will build Nestlé’s income statement and balance sheet live in Power BI using Financial Reporting Matrix. We will add comments, embed it in PowerPoint, and export it to Excel.
Power BI is excellent for dashboards, but ask it to generate a clean income statement or balance sheet and the standard matrix falls short: no real row formatting, clunky subtotals, and layouts that finance professionals don’t recognize. As a result, the report often ends up as an Excel screenshot pasted into a presentation.
In this session, we take Nestlé’s published financial reports and build them live in Power BI using Financial Reporting Matrix, so you can see exactly how a professional income statement and balance sheet take shape.
Along the way, we will cover what makes a report truly useful in practice: adding comments directly into cells to explain the figures, embedding the report directly into PowerPoint, and exporting the finished report to Excel with a single click for stakeholders who still prefer a spreadsheet.
Finally, we will show how the report structure is defined and maintained centrally in the CFO Platform, so you set the layout once and reuse it, rather than rebuilding it in Power BI every period.
Practical, hands-on, and based on published figures—no dummy data. We’re skipping the slides for the sake of it.
