Since 2000, we have grown with our customers — from municipal operations to international groups. And the journey has only just begun.
2000
Hypergene is founded in Malmö by Per Engwall and Isak Johnsson, born out of the idea of making it easier to plan, monitor and manage operations using digital tools.
2012
Several Swedish regions are starting to use Hypergene. This will be the start of our strong presence in the public sector.
2016
Monterro joins Hypergene as owner on June 8 — and supports growth until 2023, when Thoma Bravo takes over.
2018
We launch our cloud platform that makes it easier to get started, scale up according to business needs, and work more flexibly.
2022
We acquire German Proventis and their project tool Blue Ant. It strengthens our portfolio management offering and marks the start of our international expansion.
2023
A new chapter begins when we become part of Thoma Bravo, a global software investor focused on long-term growth and innovation.
2024
We will acquire Thinking Portfolio Oy, a Finnish SaaS provider in strategic portfolio and project management, in August 2024.
2025
We acquire Norwegian SaaS company Profitbase — a strategic step that strengthens our presence in the Nordic region and our offering in financial planning and analysis.
